If he was Utah worthy why would he end up at CSU? Although she is quite the incentive.

she is good, but not that good. CSU track sucks though. Her LJ would be 2nd best ever at their school.

Kuithe, Yassmin, Kendall. I think Utah would take him, but with the first two coming back he wasn't going to start. My guess is he wanted more guaranteed playing time..... Plus the girl.

          Nope, not buying it.

Her times last year would make her the #1 performer at utah in the 100, the 200 and the long jump (by 2 1/2 feet). They would have loved to have her is my guess. Now maybe they didn't offer her much, but she is good.

Or worse. They think they’re getting Lyons.

No idea who she was. Thanks for the clarification. So what your are saying is that the track coach is probably pissed at Whitt about right now

I think they will, but he is a mission kid, so he shouldn't play into Holker's decision.

Could be. His wife wouldn't be too happy about that, I imagine.

Lol @ Holker. What a huge mistake that was.

Family and friends. It was awesome. Throw in a football coach and AD and it would have been icing on the cake.

                      • Colorado State is awful. Why doesn’t he just come back to BYU?

                        • I know I am old, but ever since this topic started, I have been trying to remember arriving back at the airport after my mission, and I can't.

I am pretty sure there were no college football coaches there, but I can't be 100% sure. I am also pretty sure there were no signs, ribbons, streamers, glitter, etc.

I do remember receiving my call, which was very different than today's custom of inviting the friends, live-streaming, etc.

I was the only one at home at the time (unusual, as there were 8 of 9 kids living there at the time). I opened it and saw that I was called to Hong Kong. No one was around to tell the news to, so I rode my bike over to the elementary school, where the annual school fair was being held, and my mother was there. I found her, and let her know. She cried, and said "That's so far away!" I thought that was odd, as whether I was in Hong Kong or Des Moines, our contact would be pretty much the same

                          • Hey, let's get the Vivint summer sales people to start greeting missionaries. Sign them up on the spot.

Or we could invite friends and your dad’s co-workers and your future coaches.

Is Rising coming back or not. I had heard he already said he isn't. Wasn't Kuithe also considering leaving?
