BYU operates at a profit. Most state schools don.t. Football is expensive. Basketball may make a profit. Few people watch other sports. Who from the bridges of Madison county watch competing extramural Ricks football? Do they charge for that? And what are the concessions like?
Some people would like to see the ship sail again. Several or Ricks nemesis offer bachelors degrees now, dixi, UVU, Usu eastern, CSI is offering a few.
Ten bucks a ticket times three grand 30,00 concessions, season tickets and broadcast rights. Community donations Could bring in over a million dollars, conference tournament money.
If they brought in two and a quarter million, maybe worth it. But then again still costs too much right now. A hope many Madison county faithful would like to see happen.
