Do you guys really believe this is why he didn't sign with BYU? You need to stop taking Bronco's horse manure at face value.

No that isn't the reason he didn't sign. That is the reason he was pissed off at BYU coaches for a long time before they stroked him enough for BYU to be his leader going into their big recruiting weekend in January. What happened on his recruiting trip is fairly well known by both sides of this rivalry. When Bronco found out, the kid (Manti) was offered a deal very similar to the one another recruit accepted--to sit out a year. One kid took that deal and will enroll, the other signed with Notre Dame.

I just never understood why people like to drag up something a person said months before and rub their faces in it. I'm thrilled that the defense is a lot better than I thought. During that stand in Dallas, I was jumping around and screaming in my living room. Why are they better? Who knows--it's probably a combination of several factors. I'm just glad they are better.

Next time, just think twice before throwing multi-faceted problems at the feet of one person. Lesson learned.

It's nothing personal. It's just that "most people agree with me" line-- that's SU's trademark.
