Irrational? Go check the vegas line and get back to me on how rational your prediction is.
94% of the bets in Vegas are for Utah to cover, while the majority of BYU fans in this contest have BYU winning. Since 97% of the money is on Utah, I don't know that the spread is a good indicator of the match-up. Now, if you don't eat a brisket during the game after all the crap you've given me in this thread, I'm gonna come down there and kick you in the crotch.

Which is why the line moved to 3.5. Still a long way from 25.
You should put money on Utah to cover. Sure thing right?

Unlike many, I am smart enough to differentiate my opinion from a high probability forecast. I bet on the weather, the markets, and your appetite every day; I don't need more risk in my life. That said, I'm at least on the right side of Vegas, unlike many in this thread who are picking BYU. I will be happy if I'm wrong, but even happier if the rally in the cattle market extends itself next week.

Btw, this was funny. Mocking your fellow cougar fans. Oh boy.

For some reason you are naive enough to believe this is a contest where people express their true expectations.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
For some reason you are naive enough to believe this is a contest where people express their true expectations.
What else is a contest for? For some reason, you and Mister Tight Undies seem to take offense if people don't ignore their observations and predict BYU to win every time. Lighten up.

You might recall that you started this discussion by mocking me, a fellow cougar fan.
True to your MO, you take artistic license to make someone else's post into something it isn't. I was mocking nobody, just pointing out that there is little reason to single me out for my prediction based on the Vegas line when others ignored Vegas as well.

You understand how spreads work. I was teasing you for being so far out of line with Vegas.
Also, don't be so defensive! All in good fun.

If I had reversed the scores, I would have come pretty close.

That is probably the closes I'll come to the actual score this year
I may be small, but I'm slow.
