    1. I don't have any opinion on if you are or are not a homosexual. I was making a comparison between your extreme reaction to Idaho and an over the top character like Ted Haggard's about homosexuality.

    2. Your post had me curious of how gay friendly Boise is considered so I googled it, according to advocate.com, which I admittedly don't know the accuracy of but a search claims it is the leading source for "up-to-date and extensive LGBT news", Boise is the 12th Queerest city in these United States in 2015.http://www.advocate.com/print-issue/...rticle-content Sounds like some exciting gay events take place in Boise
Boise is also home to the Idaho Gay Rodeo Association, a chapter of the International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA.com), and the active Boise Pridefest, which recently sponsored a fund-raising concert tour across Idaho.

While living in Washington as a boy I had the opportunity to go to a small town called George and pick potatoes. We had removed all the seats in our extended van and filled it to capacity with some of the largest, most delicious potatoes. We stored them in barrels and fed the missionaries and ourselves for nearly a year when my pops was an MP.

Hate BSU. Hate their idiotic fanbase, present company excluded. I attended the BSU Utah game some years ago (Ute friend couldn't give away his ticket) and winning 36-3 wasn't good enough for several released mental patients. It got nasty and these people are plain dumb.

You'd have a better chance of somehow convincing him he's gay.

bro that is exactly my point. boise is trying so hard to overcome the out and out violence faced by lgbt folks everywhere in idaho except the three blocks that make up "downtown" boise that it's overcompensating. it's like i always say, just be yourself and dance like nobody is watching.

I can't imagine any town in America, let alone the population within a 100 mile radius has a higher kick ass concert schedule per capita. For those who have never been to The Gorge, imagine whatever town refers to Roosevelt Utah as the city consistent hosting major bands.

Most people probably haven't heard, but it was the first time in the history of BYU football that they beat a Big Ten and an SEC opponent in back-to-back weeks.

Had, Art. I had a hot streak going. And you want to be my latex salesman.

Speaking of potatoes, I ran into a couple of young men at the beach a while back who were visiting southern California. One was a potato farmer from Washington, and the other was a potato farmer from Idaho.

The young man from Idaho couldn't get the time of day from any of the California girls at the beach. The young man from Washington, however, had a swarm of ladies following him around the beach.

Finally, the boy from Idaho pulled the boy from Washington aside.

"Hey, how do you do it? I mean, these girls aren't paying any attention to me."

The Washington boy took mercy on his neighbor to the east.

"OK, look. This will sound a bit silly, but it works like a charm. Take one of these potatoes that we grow, and stick it down your swimsuit. That's the trick."

Confused, but seeing that his friend was getting the desired result, the Idaho boy stole away to the changing area and stuck a potato down his swimsuit.

When he returned to the beach, the Idaho boy walked by all the young ladies he could find. However, instead of flocking to him, the girls were giggling and avoiding him. The Idaho boy pulled his friend aside one more time.

"Hey, I put a potato down my suit, but the ladies are still avoiding me."

The Washington boy looked down, looked back at the Idaho boy, and mercifully whispered to him:

"The potato goes in the front."

I keep coming back to this as well. I've seen parts of the BSU games against USU and CSU, and they didn't look like they were world-beaters in those parts that I saw. BYU definitely has a chance if they play well.

I see the game a lot the same way, but I don't see Tayson throwing two picks, mostly because he isn't going to have to throw the ball a lot.

Boyz to the Men of BYU.

Here is a statistical comparison from somebody called Random Walk. When asked if it is adjusted for Strength of Schedule he responded that it was.

BYU according to the five factors

                              Explosiveness
                              Offense: #119
                              Defense #56

                              Efficiency
                              Offense #29
                              Defense #74

                              Field Position
                              Offense: #31
                              Defense: #7

                              Finishing Drives
                              Offense: #89
                              Defense: #90

                              Turnover Margin: #12

BYU's offense is doing a better job of staying on the field and staying ahead of downs to get into third and manageable. BYU still struggles to finish drives and get teams off the field, but it's been good at forcing turnovers. BYU is in elite territory with defensive field position (thanks Linehan and Lamb). Field position made a huge difference against Michigan State and Mississippi State.

                              Rush Offense/Defense
On offense, BYU is good at running the ball overall (#13) and at staying ahead of the down (#27). They're bad in short yardage situations (#98).
On defense, BYU is good at stopping the run (#21), staying ahead of the down (#33), and limiting big plays (#19). They're above average in short yardage situations (#40).

                              Pass Offense/Defense
On offense, BYU is average at passing the ball (#67) and staying ahead of the down (#45). The team is terrible at generating big plays in the passing game (#126). The team does a mediocre job of protecting Taysom (#69). On passing downs, the team is good (#37).
On defense, BYU is mediocre overall (#64), terrible at staying ahead of the down (#114), and mediocre at preventing big plays (#78). The team is above average at getting to the QB (#55). On passing downs, BYU's defense is terrible (#100).

                              By Quarter
On offense, BYU is average in the 1st (#60), above average in the 2nd (#53), great in the third (#23), and above average in the fourth (#48).
On defense, BYU is average in the 1st (#63), above average in the 2nd (#48), good in the third (#36), and great in the fourth (#20).

                              By Down
On offense, BYU is above average on 1st (#51), good on 2nd (#36), and good on 3rd (#29).
On defense, BYU is great on 1st (#25), above average on 2nd (#48), and above average on 3rd (#55).

Havoc (% of plays in which the defense recorded a TFL, forced a fumble, or defended a pass)
On defense, BYU's linebackers are elite in causing havoc (#4), however the DL (#119) and secondary (#121) have been terrible.

Boise State according to the five factors

                              Explosiveness
                              Offense: #12
                              Defense #47

                              Efficiency
                              Offense #26
                              Defense #11

                              Field Position
                              Offense: #126
                              Defense: #51

                              Finishing Drives
                              Offense: #11
                              Defense: #27

                              Turnover Margin: #97

This is the best team that BYU has faced this year (by the stats). They're explosive and efficient on office. Their defense gets teams off the field and they stay ahead of the down. Their only problems are that they generally start with terrible field position and they aren't generating as many turnovers as expected.

                              Rush Offense/Defense
On offense, Boise is below average at running the ball overall (#79), average at staying ahead of the down (#63) and in generating big plays (#69). They're good in short yardage situations (#24).
On defenese, Boise is elite at stopping the run overall (#4) and staying ahead of the down (#16). However, they tend to give up big plays (#102) and they're bad at stopping teams in short yardage situations (#110)

                              Pass Offense/Defense
On offense, Boise is an elite passing team overall (#6), at staying ahead of the down (#11), and in generating big plays (#9). They're great at protecting the QB (#13). On passing downs, Boise's offense is good overall (#25).
On defense, Boise is an above average team against the pass overall (#54), they're great at staying ahead of the down (#23), and they are elite at eliminating big plays (#9). They're above average at getting to the QB (#44). On passing downs, Boise's defense is great overall (#9).

                              By Quarter
                              On offense, they're good in the 1st (#47), 2nd (#43), and 3rd quarters (#31). They're great in the 4th (#18).
On defense, they're great in the 1st (#11) and in the second (#15), good in the third (#30), and terrible in the 4th (#120) -- (maybe because of 2nd and 3rd stringers).

                              By Down
On offense, they're average on 1st down (#56), great on second (#17), and great on third (#20).
On defense, they're good on 1st down (#37), great on second (#18), and good on third (#28).

                              Havoc
Their DL is good at causing havoc (#31), but the linebackers (#108) and secondary (#96) are both bad.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
