        So after thinking about for a while I'm pretty sure that RCV's slam about "Family History U" was about as embarrassing as the fake punt. Something about Boise State thins his skin and brings out the dunce in him. That was really, really bad. Like Portland Ute would pass on it kind of bad.

                  Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                        I'm with those that have said they probably saw something on film where boise was selling out on the kicking side of rugby style punters to go for a block. In that situation with proper blocking getting even 20 yards on a fake punt is not a huge stretch. It's not the xs and Os of the play that concern me, it's the general situational awareness that would ever think that was a good time to try it.

                            The biggest problem is they were on their own 5! And yes, nineteen yards from a first down. The utter stupidity is not complicated.
