Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

In various newspapers reading the comments section provides valuable insights that the writer doesn't bring up. Same thing with message boards. There is usually some pretty good insight to be found, which is why I read comments and look at message boards.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostYeah, I was trying to be kind.
Unfortunately, any article involving BYU football or basketball at the Deseret News has Chris B popping up first in the comments section. It is pretty much impossible to post first on every single article, day or night, which makes me suspect that it is someone that works for the Deseret News. Other rabid anti-BYU posters on the paper are not able to post first. Also, he is able to post more incendiary comments than any other poster - and the Deseret News is pretty strict on throwing out comments they deem offensive. Finally, he was the only poster that was able to post anything not supporting gay marriage. Add it all up, and he almost has to be an inside source trying to drive traffic. I think it completely ironic they use a firebrand to drive traffic to message boards, then block most of the comments from the people responding.

I think even I can safely say, this is not ironic.Originally posted by HawkeyeCoug View PostIn various newspapers reading the comments section provides valuable insights that the writer doesn't bring up. I also find response videos to news stories on YouTube with their accompanying comments to be great sources of knowledge about how anonymity brings out the worst in humanity.Originally posted by HawkeyeCoug View PostIn various newspapers reading the comments section provides valuable insights that the writer doesn't bring up. Hawkeye, sorry that you are losing message board arguments to Chris B. That sounds horrible.Originally posted by HawkeyeCoug View PostIn the Deseret News message boards there is a poster named "Chris B." He always gets the top post on all articles, and is able to make inflammatory comments that would have everybody else censored. I thought this was just a BYU-Utah thing, but he was able to post messages on controversial political topics that would have other people kicked off as well.
Due to his immunity and rapid response to posts, it seems to me that he is either an employee of the Deseret News, or a close relative or friend that someone in the Deseret News is enabling. If true, I believe this is a serious breach of journalistic ethics, especially when the Deseret News clamps down so hard on so many comments.
I think the true identity of "Chris B" or his Deseret News handler needs to be outed. I know there are enough Cougar fans out there with connections to the Deseret News to out the person. It could well be a BYU fan posing as the worst kind of Utah fan, but either way it needs to be outed. I'm calling on Cougar fans with connections to out the real person, and force the Deseret News to restore journalistic integrity to their message boards.
