Bo Pelini coached a year longer than Frank Solich so Nebraska had more wins under Bo.

So if Frost won the next 75 games, he would be 90-30, for a .750 winning percentage. Still worse than Zolich. He would need 77 straight to eclipse him. I was way off.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View Post

How many wins in a row until he has a better record than Zolich? Probably 75 or so.

Hmm. A million times less likely to murder one of his own players, maybe? But even Bo knows that killing one of his own players would damage recruiting. If Pelini were going to kill someone on the gridiron, it wouldn't be a player wearing scarlet and cream, it would be one of those fellas wearing black and white stripes. If memory serves, you have familiarity with that thankless job so I'm kind of surprised it wasn't your point of reference regarding Bo's certified lunacy.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Post
He would also still be a million times less likely to murder one of his own players. Bo Pelini is a certified lunatic and Husker fans aren't going to trade their dignity for 9 wins a year. We would trade it for 11 like any fanbase but Bo was nothing special. Certainly no Osborne.
The Frost era is the most painful in the 20 year slow motion train wreck because on paper he was the solution to all our problems and the next great lifer Husker coach. And if he is fired he will go to another program and succeed. We are cursed.
Like you, I thought Scott Frost was the answer to Nebraska's woes and agree he will be successful once more after he is fired at Nebraska. And maybe Nebraska is cursed. However, calling for an onside kick while up two scores in the third quarter in not a curse. Forgoing a chance to re-recruit Joe Burrow upon his leaving Ohio St., after your predecessor whiffed on him out of high school, out of loyalty to the then current starter Adrian Martinez is not a curse. It's another mistake, especially when Martinez transfers to Kansas St. with a year of eligibility. Losing to BYU on a Hail Mary is not a curse, it is divine providence for trading a certified lunatic for an animated corpse in Mike Riley. Now, I'm rambling on about zombies, and not the kind feared in Games of Thrones or World War Z. Maybe, you are correct, Nebraska is cursed.

For anyone who still cares (I may be beyond feeling at this point), the ESPN linked articles describes 10 games that encapsulate the Huskers fall - the Hail Mary loss to BYU made the list.
