That would be horrible, especially for BYU fans who always gravitate to this inbred sense of football superiority at the slightest positive development.
Now we know how you guys have felt the past three years.

I didn't know BYU was top fourth and sixth in the nation and went to a big bowl. Did I have a head injury?

Somehow, the 22 conference championships, 26 bowl games, the Heisman and the National Championship take some of the edge off the pain.

I know, I know....it isn't the same as 3 outright conference championships. But hey, it is a start.

I was referencing the fact that you didn't dominate the MWC.

Would the BCS have let BYU's 1984 team play in the NC game?

Washington was offered the chance. They declined because they were scared. Rightfully so. BYU throttled them 31-3 in the 1985 season opener.

Utah dominated in 2004. TCU in '05, BYU in '06 and '07. So it has been three years since Utah last dominated.

who cares. if not for a threatened anti-trust lawsuit, would Utah have received an auto-bid to the Fiesta Bowl?

The utes did a great thing this year and deserve credit. And they were fantastic in 2004.

Comparing Utah football to BYU football and referencing a curious sense of self-entitlement is laughable.

Again, get back to me when the Utes win about 20 more conference championships. Or even 10 more. Aren't you even slightly embarassed by 3 outright championships in almost 50 years? I would be.

I know you're just having some fun, but why do BYU fans only think that football started in 1972?

                      History starts from the beginning.

Utah has 24 outright + 2 shared conference titles.

Utes are 11-3 in bowl games with a current 7 game bowl win streak.

BYU is 9-16-1 in bowl games.

Yes, I know most of Utah's success was before I was born - save the bowl games - but I'll let the facts speak for themselves.

One thing that is a positive, though it won't help you feel any better, is that BYU at 10-2 and being the 3rd best team in the MWC says a lot about how far this conference has come in the short 10 years it's been around.

It's better to bitch about a 10-2 season than the losing kind of seasons we had under Crowton.

Should this team return intact on the offensive side of the ball, and I personally think they will, and yes....my homerism thinks the defense can't be worse than it was this year....I really like our chances next year.

The Home Schedule works out perfectly for us. A place we haven't lost in over 3 years.

What do you think about the road games @ASU and essentially @Oklahoma.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I think we'll be good enough to beat ASU on the road...I mean hell if UNLV can do it...

The Oklahoma game hasn't been signed, sealed and delivered yet and I think the longer the delay the less chances of that happening are. But if it does happen, I don't like our chances much.

Good thing about that game if it does happen is it's the 1st game of the year and should we lose, and yet go undefeated the rest of the season........well I don't want to think too far ahead..

However if one season and yes this is just me dreaming here...they were able to defeat Florida State, Oklahoma, Arizona State, Utah and TCU all in one year.....it might allow me to dream further than just a Jan 1. bowl.
