We may need a thread titled "Is the Utah marketing department the most incompetent department in Division 1 sports?" Because geez.

If he is a nice guy that loses, I want him fired. I'll take an asshole like Whittingham that wins over a nice guy that loses. The rivalry will only be interesting to watch if Utah starts winning again.

Scalley seems like a genuinely good guy. Will be interesting to watch the rivalry.

Agree. I have said before that KW and Bronco were both perfect coaches for their rival to hate. Whether intentionally to needle the opposition or unintentionally because they are both big dorks, they played elements of a stereotype and attitude large portions of the rival fanbases love to hate. After we replaced our dork with a universally liked personality who is difficult to hate, I think it's good that Utah has done the same. I think Scalley is a great person and he will be hard to root against. But doing the right thing isn't always easy!Originally posted by wally View PostI listened to an interview with Morgan Scalley where he mentioned the rivalry and wanting it to be less toxic. He said he was doing a fireside and afterwards, there was a kid who was BYU fan that he facetimed Kalani to chat with, or something like that.
I am thinking we are heading toward a dynamic resembling the relationship that Lavell/McBride had. Should be interesting.

Okay, stay with me, maybe it was to warn Jews on Shabbat from using "Gentiles" to push the buttons for them.
I served many months in Antwerpen, Belgium and lived in a building filled with mostly Hasidic jews and where I think we may have been the only gentiles. We were asked several times to push elevator buttons for a grandma who couldn't take the stairs.
