Ohio State will go in ahead of a 1 loss Clemson.

I think there's a slim chance that UNC would go in ahead of Ohio State. But I can't imagine 1 loss UNC beating Clemson head to head and then being passed over by the team they just beat. UNC hasn't lost since the week 1.

But again, Ohio State won it all last year and they still have Meyer and Ezekiel Elliott. I also think that if the committee sees it as a toss up between UNC and Ohio State, it seems that the committee would find it hard to turn down a matchup between Alabama and Ohio State in the first round.

I agree. Ohio St. is a big draw and defending NC. I think it depends on Alabama. Obviously, if Alabama wins the SEC, the Tide is in. If both Bama and UNC win, it will be a difficult choice for the playoff committee. I think the Tar Heels get the nod over the Buckeyes because of a conference championship and upsetting #1 Clemson while Ohio St. is idle. Ohio St. is probably the better team and the match-up between Bama and OSU does have a strong appeal. But that will also be more controversial then selecting conference champions for all four slots.

If Alabama loses, both UNC and Ohio St. are probably in.

I would be surprised if any CCG losers make the playoffs but with enough upsets, I suppose it's possible for Clemson to still get voted in by the playoff committee.
I think OU is already in as well as the winner of MSU-Iowa. If Bama loses to Florida and Clemson loses to UNC; who knows? I don't see the playoff committee selecting Clemson after a loss without also taking UNC.

Next week's final ranking gets really interesting if UNC beats Clemson (which I hope happens) -- Oklahoma, MSU/Iowa winner, and Bama (I think they destroy Florida) are in, but who gets the 4th spot between UNC, tOSU, and Stanford (assuming they beat USC)? UNC would deserve it IMO, but I wouldn't be surprised if they select tOSU or Stanford.

Ohio State will get in if UNC beats Clemson. And then they might win it all again.

UNC is probably underranked right now, but I don't see how they can keep from 10th to 4th.

Stanford has no chance because they won't let them in on front of Ohio State. For starters, Ohio State would beat the shit out of Stanford head to head.
