Yes, I'm pumped up to play for a Pac-12 championship. I'm not in the playoffs or failed season mentality. Utah is playing for something meaningful, BYU is not.

A PAC-12 championship is something to play for and to be excited about, but the Rose Bowl's importance is greatly diminished with the playoffs. Other than the fans of a the teams involved in the non-playoff BCS games, nobody is going to care about those games.

I can't wait to see who matches up in the fiesta bowl this season! Or the Sugar! Such huge implications, much different than say the Vegas Bowl or the Liberty Bowl or the Outback Bowl.

I would say probably Utah playing in the CCG. If you had said Utah winning the PAC then I would have said BYU to the Big 12 first. Given Arizona and ASU have a couple of titles between them (with Arizona never winning) in the 40 years in the league I don't think I am being to harsh. The reality is the stars were aligned for Utah to win the PAC 12 this year and they blew it. I don't expect them to have another such year where the conference is so down top to bottom and Utah is fairly decent in the next 30 years.

The caveat is if Utah somehow learns to recruit and/or develop quarterbacks. If that happens I could see them reaching up and grabbing the ring.
