Do you think the placement of this flag behind Aloe Black singing God Bless America was coincidence? Lol, I think not. The Lord moves in mysterious ways.

This reminds me of when Nebraska got beat soundly by both national champions two years in a row. Colorado/GT in 1990 and Washington/Miami in 1991. I like to think they were the #3 team in the country those two years.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostMichigan State got dominated by both teams that were in the title game. Michigan St. deserves credit for playing Oregon even though they got dominated in the end. Also, I wouldn't categorize the Spartans 49-37 loss to the Buckeyes as getting "dominated". On the other hand, Baylor played a non-conference schedule of SMU, Northwestern St., and Buffalo; hard to gain much support for that. What is worse: a 46-27 loss on the road to highly ranked Oregon, or a 41-27 loss on the road to unranked West Virginia? I agree with the sentiment: How many chances should Michigan St. get? But I also agree with the sentiment: Why reward Baylor for a crappy OOC schedule? Determining the at-large selections will always be somewhat controversial in an 8-team playoff as Michigan St. showed in the Cotton Bowl by beating Baylor - a team that would have gotten selected, perhaps at the expense of the team who beat them.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostMichigan State got dominated by both teams that were in the title game. 1. Nebraska (13-0)
2. Oklahoma (11-1)
3. Colorado (10-2)
Colorado's only defeats in 1971 were blowout losses to Nebraska and Oklahoma. So the third ranked team in a conference was also ranked as the third best team in the country.“Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory.”
