Many of this year's games were by the slimmest of margins.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Not only that, but the line got up over 9 points I believe.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

that means that technically BYU has more wins against AP 1 or 2 than Oregon.
        BYU has one or two?

BYU beat defending champ Miami, ranked 1 at the time and ended the season ranked 3. They haven't had as many chances to play a #1 ranked team compared to Oregon, of course. I'm just surprised Oregon hasn't done it even once? Really surprised.

And they won. What else can they do besides win? Did they not win pretty enough? I can't stand Jameis Winston, but at some point you have to just tip your hat to the guy and move along. The guy has never lost as a starting QB.

Winston's prowess as a QB is very impressive, but I don't know why anyone other than Satan and Burt Reynolds would root for him over Mariota.

What was Oklahoma ranked the last time we beat them?

I think they were 3. Hard to keep track of all these wins over top 5 teams.

That is why I was uncertain if BYU had one or two wins. We had a couple of other games against FSU that didnt end too well.

Air Force was 2 or 3, if memory serves, when BYU beat them in '85. But you're right, too many to remember...

I thought they were number four then.

4th in the AP (but they may have been higher in the coaches poll):
