I thought it was Southern Miss?

    doesn't matter.

Bottom line is that the only way people would show at this game is if we were unbeaten. Nobody likes these games, which are basically a tradeoff for all the hard road games we play. If they were a 7th home game I'd be ok with it, but I think it's ridiculous that they have this as one of the games the last few years.

What I find is really sad is that it is the game where the Seniors are honored. Heck, if I had been the AD, I would have honored them clear back at the USU game where I knew I would at least have a crowd. Of course that was McMahon night so probably couldn't have done that.

I hope BYU is spending this week prepping for Cal.

This is on of those weeks where that could happen. I would bet that BYU's scout team would probably win this week.

That's who Bronco is talking about?

Mendenhall explained how the matchup with the Tigers came to be, saying that a bigger opponent was in place until a contract was broken late in the scheduling process, causing the Cougars' staff to scramble to find an opponent.

โ€œWe had an opponent scheduled, wouldโ€™ve been a fantastic and intriguing matchup right now, and somewhere along the line all I got was word that that game will not happen,โ€ explained Mendenhall.

ESPN's got BYU favored by 57.5 in this one. Will be very exciting to see if they cover!

I'll take the under. Bronco likes to call off the dogs before it gets that wide.

That's what I was thinking. I just looked up their schedule though, and damn. This team might be historically bad. I assume this is well known to people who pay attention more than I have been, but they lost by 74 to a Sun Belt team!

Watching the pregame...looks absolutely miserable in Provo. Who really wants this game to be played?...the players, the fans, anyone?

Bronco Mendenhall told me in our pregame interview that freshman LB Fred Warner is out for the season (back; disc injury).
