I learned from Nintendo that some of the hazards of being a paperboy include rabid dogs, breakdancing dudes in the street, and the occasional Grim Reaper. As such, I had no desire to become a paperboy.

Mine was similar. I would get billed $3.35 for every house on my route. I would collect $7.75 from as many people as possible, but if I wasn't able to collect from them, I ate the cost. I remember thinking it was a shady move by the newspaper to stick me with the collection process and also make me foot the bill for non-payers, especially when I didn't have control over canceling their subscription when they didn't pay. IIRC, my profits suffered by about 30% because of deadbeat customers.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI delivered papers as well, the Benicia Herald. Had a GT Pro Series that was all white, including white hubs. It was super clean. We were paid $6 a month per house we were actually able to collect on. That included delivery and collection. The cost of the paper was $18 a month and it was a bitch to collect from most people. I had two routes, about 120 total houses. I was lucky to collect on half of those.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

Wow, looks like Santos, Donut, Junkie and Shaka can start a paper route club.Originally posted by jay santos View PostI did a paper route in Laramie, Wyoming. As I recall, I didn't get stuck much if ever by deadbeat customers. Coldest morning I did my paper route: -29, -57 wind chill.

I forget what personal foul Takitaki racked up.... Bronco's apparently mad at him, too.
*That's right- a "late hit"
I thought that was horse shit. He could have put a serious lick on him if he wanted to blow him up.

It was a pretty bad one. Extended a drive that eventually resulted in a TD. But for the stupid play, BSU would have been punting.Originally posted by Commando View PostI forget what personal foul Takitaki racked up.... I got fired from my paper route (San Jose Mercury). Wednesday was insert day, and I used to throw the bundles in the dumpster...they were a pain. Apparently some people look forward to the Wednesday coupons."The mind is not a boomerang. If you throw it too far it will not come back." ~ Tom McGuane

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

From the comment sectionOriginally posted by BarstoolSerious question- is there a scarier sight right now than seeing BYU on your schedule? I mean it’s clear to pretty much everyone with a brain right now, this is a team of destiny. Don’t want to stoop to the obvious that God is on their side or anything, but let’s just say all that abstaining from sex and alcohol and caffeine isn’t going unnoticed upstairs.
Almost rather play Bama in Tuscaloosa than the Cougars anywhere at this point.
How do you think they celebrate? Do they take white girls out to a nice dinner and with the possibility of a kiss on the first date?aboslutely none of them got laid last night. damn shameGet confident, stupid
