Maybe the D looks bad right now because the O is so dominate.

Unless the pass rush improves dramatically along with the DB's, then we are going to see a lot of shootouts.

Not that I'm aware. Bronco has never helmed a bad defense-even staffed with nobodies. The only times our defense has been outright pathetic is when Bronco gave the reins to underlings.

[QUOTE=Donuthole;1192157]Good try to connect the two, but what kind of basketball team would fall under a mayor's purview? Not one worth getting pissed about, that's for sure. Also, you don't think the rich guy who donated for a rec. center for yoga is pissed that the old people are competing with people playing basketball. Oh, you believed the mayor when he blew that smoke up your ars about your donation being the most important one? You thought you were the special one he told that to? I guess I will just admit it: you are just not that current.

I believed back in '99 or 2000 or whenever it was the donation was given. I was in the camp that felt BYU was the one and only true University. No one then could have convinced me they blow smoke up people's arses.

Now I think they have it down to an art form.

I would be pissed if the Mayor came to me for a donation for a rec. center for basketball and then found out the basketball teams had to compete with old people and their yoga classes.

Hey, leave me out of your personal rift with BYU71. He knows my jabs are playful. I don't want him thinking I am in cahoots with liars like you.

I think the gripe was that one or a small group of players got the boot when they were doing individual workouts outside of scheduled times. There's no way that BYU is going to reserve that facility solely for the use of football players who want to use it on a whim.

It has to have been him. He is the only QB BYU had under Bronco who both did not play and was also not a big time recruit.

No idea - just that after talking about the situation, they also said this wasn't Jake Heaps dad calling. In fact, it wasn't a kid who was highly recruited at all. Someone that you wouldn't really think of.

Speaking of over-involved parents...this was all part of the discussion revolving around the Kafentzis kid transferring from Wisconsin. They said that back when he was at Jordan, his dad called up and negotiated an advertising contract with the radio station for his pizza joint - and then threw in that as part of this he'd also like to have them interview the kid on air. Making it clear that the kid didn't know he was doing the advertising contract and he didn't want the kid to know that he had "suggested" they interview him.

Run, do not walk, to the nearest available exit!
