Whitt's greatest failure (and there really aren't many) is having 7 straight seasons with a new OC. Yes, that's 5-6 mistakes but the real reason Utah isn't competitive in their new-ish conference. QB issues were often injury driven. Sure, they haven't had decent backups but most teams don't.

You mean the player that no other p5 school has any interest in? Yep, that doesn't help his cause.

Had i noticed the Michigan-Minnesota score, i probably wouldn't have been surprised that Utah lost. Hoke is in trouble. He apparently kept playing a QB after a concussion.

I really don't know. I thought it was a good get at the time to get a player that had done so well. I thought he might eventually turn the QB stuff around for Utah.

Isn't he buried on the depth chart now?

The Utah game got Hoke fired. The only suspense now is whether or not it will happen during the season. The only way Michigan loses by 16 at home to bad teams two weeks in a row is if the coach has lost the team.

Utes are impressive they got coaches fired in consecutive weeks.

                  From the ESPN recap article.

This is the first time Michigan has three losses in a season by the end of September in its 135-year football history, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
I'd be surprised if he makes it through the week much less the season.

It's okay. Only 25 recruits were present for the game. What an experience. Stand in the rain and watch that.

I'm surprised utah had 25 players interested in visiting. Bronco should focus on getting only the best 4 or 5 of them to transfer.

I think you are over-reacting a little bit. Before the season, the expectation from Ute fans was getting to at least 6 wins and a bowl game. Fresno St and Michigan were fools gold and expectations were adjusted erroneously. Now that the team loses it's all doom and gloom. Utah is half way to bowl eligibility. The South division isn't as strong as many thought it would be. Utah has the ability to knock off a couple of teams they aren't supposed to.

I'd be fine with 6 wins, but it isn't happening.

Kwhitt's a much better coach as the underdog. I think the Utes will pick up a couple of surprising W's and then the rivalry game will be for bowl eligibility.

STOP TRYING TO MAKE HIM FEEL BETTER!

Funk, you're exactly right. Utes are mediocre this year and it's due to coaching. You're going to continue to have seasons like this until Whit is gone, but odds are against a new coach being any better.
