White Mormon fans coming in temple whites. Now there's the definition of a true white out.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

I get the whiteout I guess but I'm not a fan of white jerseys at home.

With a 130 PM kick and sunny/warm forecast, i was going to play it safe and just go in my garments. I also have a sweet white BYU hat made by zephyr.

Wait a minute: don't give up on the jumpsuit idea so fast. Just imagine all these pasty white guys (no offense) showed up in white polyester jumpsuits, zipped up the front, shuffling up the stadium ramps in polyester slippers. It would be freakish and weird and would completely intimidate the opposing team! I think we should push for this.
          PLesa excuse the tpyos.

          • Bruce Feldman and Stewart Mandel talking BYU on their podcast - says that BYU is much better than #21. Feldman says he'd pick BYU over half the teams in front of them.

Mandel says BYU's got bad luck with their schedule, which is soft.

Feldman says he thinks BYU would beat South Carolina or Georgia. :monkey:
I guess I'll enjoy having a member of the national sports media have more confidence in my team than I do.

Well, if you don't vacillate between overly confident and overly fearful for the team, can you really be considered a BYU fan? Seems like they are one and the same. From The Quest to #wmph...

Does he feel they can beat virginia? Because that is the only thing that matters right now.

I think now is as good a time as any to point out "The Quest For Perfection" promotion was never intended to insinuate a perfect football season but rather a reminder to those wearing the T-shirts to align their lives with the mission of Brigham Young University, which reads as follows:

The mission of Brigham Young University--founded, supported, and guided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints--is to assist individuals in their quest for perfection and eternal life. That assistance should provide a period of intensive learning in a stimulating setting where a commitment to excellence is expected and the full realization of human potential is pursued.
Life isn't all about football, guys.

I know there are those who disagree and that is fine, but to have your football team advertising they are questing for perfection as individuals and eternal life seems to be a bit heavy for your average football fan. Even your average BYU football fan.

When someone sees that and asked me if BYU really thinks they can have a perfect season, I should say, no it isn't about football. They are questing for perfection and eternal life. I will have the missionaries come over and explain it.

I guess my response to you is, why do the missionaries need to come over and explain it? What a great opportunity for you to talk to someone else about the gospel. Every member a missionary! It's one of the 4-fold missions of the church, '71.

Sure, we know that, but the Utes sure seem to struggle with it...

I think we should accept we are all at different levels on our quest for perfection. I am trying hard, but I admit I am not advancing rapidly. Therefor I would have the missionaries over because I think as I started explaining the reason quest for perfection promoted by a football team had nothing to do with football, I would start giggling and spoil the spirit.

It would sure freak out Jehovah Witnesses, if they can watch football on Saturday. They would think the Rhaposdy is about to occur without them.
