I thought they looked like Under Armour shoes. For the record, outside of their football cleats, all UA shoes are awful. They do o.k. with the cleats though.

If that is the case, you know your shoes.

not the same toe box at all, way different sole, and the mesh on the toe box is a different pattern.

McMahon was staying true to his school at the blackhawks game

The heel doesn't look like the TR1 you posted or the pair I have, but it seems to bring you some kind of sad happiness to have them be royal TR1, so I'll agree with you.

I have a pair as well. I can't really see the heel in that McMahon pic. But I can see the toe, the sole, and the upper and those are the lunar tr1. The free doesn't have that square rubber tip on the toe. As I said before, I don't whether the lunar falls into the Free category as there are so many Frees now, so you may be right, I have no idea.

Friday, it was announced that McMahon is the 16th Davey O'Brien Legends Award Recipient, completing a sweep for the former Super Bowl-winning quarterback. McMahon was the inaugural winner of the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award in 1981.
                      Very cool. Well deserved.

Jim McMahon's current health and lifestyle probably get a fair amount of pub in Utah, but this column in our local rag was news to me. Jimbo's declining mental condition has apparently improved and he drives around the country in an RV with his girlfriend participating in 60 or so charity golf tourneys each year. I don't have a high opinion of chiropracters generally, but there are some significant exceptions, and McMahaon's (Scott Rosa) may be one of them.

To simplify the medical stuff, the misaligned parts were short-circuiting the flow of cerebrospinal fluid up and down his brain stem and spine. Some adjusting, shaking and tweaking freed the flow, kind of like un-kinking a garden hose. Actually there were three separate kinks. The relief was instant and dramatic.

McMahon says his short-term memory is much improved. The ice-pick headaches are gone. He’s a functioning human being. Whenever symptoms return, he goes back for a tune-up and is good to go for another few months.

The NFL is officially skeptical of the treatments, but McMahon is officially skeptical of the NFL, which he believes is in league with Big Pharma, depriving suffering former players of relief from alternative approaches, such as marijuana.

Now McMahon tries to spread the word. He works with a foundation trying to convince the NFL that weed is sometimes a better treatment for pain. And he spreads the gospel of the unkinked garden hose.

“I tell all the guys I know,” McMahon says. “A lot of guys get frustrated, they don’t know what’s going on. Some of them kill themselves. They’re embarrassed. They’ll stand there in a fog for a half hour, wondering what the f— to do. These guys are pretty proud, and to have to ask for help is not easy.”

McMahon knows he’s not cured, but, “At least now I know what’s wrong with me.”
BTW, the author, Scott Ostler, is a well-known columnist in California and a distant cousin.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Uh no that stuff about the cerebrospinal fluid and adjustments and alignment is total nonsense. No basis in reality.

If Jimbo really has had an improvement in his mental status then it's probably been by coming off narcotics and/or benzodiazepines that clouded his thinking. About the only thing chiropractors get right is steering people away from bad docs who turn people into addicts.

I was hoping you and/or the other docs would chime in. I've never understood why spinal manipulation is thought (by chiros and their fans) to cure anything. The good chiro I know is more of a trainer (eat right, exercise, have good form in your workouts, etc.) than a spine manipulation guy.

Whatever the reason for his improved mental health, I hope it is not fleeting.
