Surf would have you had Marshall 2 had they stayed undefeated? If you don't say yes, I have a hard time seeing that you really believe your assertion that FSU is 1 until they lose.

I understand this. I don't completely disagree with it. However if you believe that the committee really thought that TCU was third what happened today to change that? Yes OSU was impressive today. Yes they look deserving today. What did TCU do today to move them from 3rd to 5th after what they did? Were they less impressive than FSU today? According to your criteria history has less weight and FSU's incredible streak is not as meaningful...Originally posted by Surfah View PostThis argument is silly. It happens in polls all the time. Every year some team drops in a poll during their bye week. They literally didn't do anything to indicate they weren't the same ranked team the week before. Your argument dismisses what others accomplish. Sure TCU won and did exactly what everyone thought they would do. But tOSU did something nobody expected. While TCU didn't do anything make anyone think they're not just as good as they were last week, tOSU did something today that makes everyone think that they are far better than what we thought of them last week.Dyslexics are teople poo...

I said that it benefits BYU, not doesn't push B12 to expansion. I think the B12 ship has sailed on BYU, I hope I'm wrong.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostSo you think such a scenario would have ZERO impact on pressure to expand?
Might not be enough in the short term, but it definitely helps.Get confident, stupid

It would be cool if TCU and Baylor do get left out if they get matched up in a bowl against each other, then the B12 could have one true champion.Get confident, stupid

According to the rules Baylor is the B12 champ...Originally posted by dabrockster View PostAnd neither should a team who didn't win their conference outright.
The following procedure will determine the Big 12 Conference representative to the Sugar Bowl (or alternate College Football Playoff game when the Sugar Bowl is a semifinal) in the event of a first-place or alternate place tie (for the avoidance of doubt, only Conference records will be used throughout the process):
a. If two teams are tied, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.

Is Marshall the defending national champion? Do they have the reigning Heisman? Have they won 29 in a row? Are they a P5 team playing in a P5 conference? That's ridiculous and you know it.

Sure, the Big 12 will expand eventually. I agree with HFN and Flystripper that this fact means nothing for BYU. They aren't taking us, and I feel like BYU fans should realize this by now.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostSo you think such a scenario would have ZERO impact on pressure to expand?

Easier to just post where everyone agrees with you? I don't agree with fly but his argument makes sense, as much as yours that because FSU has the reigning Heisman winner.Originally posted by Surfah View Post

I am sorry. I don't mean to frustrate you. All I am trying to do is get in the committee's head and try and predict what they will do. I actually think OSU and FSU along with Oregon and Bama are most deserving. I just doubt the committee agrees since they incorrectly had TCU at third.Originally posted by Surfah View Post
