I like Oregon and was cheering for them last night."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Moilere is clueless when it comes to sports. I learned that quickly.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostSo you posted what I said about TCU/Iowa St. verbatim. I'm touchy. Lol. You are the first one to pile on when Oregon loses, then Oregon dominates the #7 team wire to wire with a complete destruction and you praise is "Oregon had issues, Arizona didn't play well". At least own that you hate Oregon, that was one of Rocky's strong points."Take it to the Bank"

TCU lost by three points to Baylor on the road and was ahead by a TD heading into the 4th quarter. They then extended the lead to three TDs over Baylor. Baylor with less than 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter proceeds to score 24 points and beats TCU by a field goal with time running out.
All in all, yes Baylor won but I'd have to say TCU beats them more than five times out of ten. I don't have an issue with TCU going in ahead of Baylor, so they've got that going for them.
Alabama is taking care of business and Oregon is in. With the way FSU has been playing, I have no idea whether they'll win tonight. If they do win, they'll be a different team once the playoffs come around because Winston will have time to heal his ankle. With FSU playing the higher ranked team, and if they win, I see them slipping in as the #3 team and playing Oregon in the first round -- which is a shame because I think FSU and Oregon would be the two best teams at that time.
If FSU loses tonight and OSU slips in, then it could provide more of an impetus for an 8 team playoff. Ohio State and the Big 10 suck donkey balls and they'll be exposed again. How many times do we have to go through this with Big 10 teams? FSU and Baylor would both be more deserving.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Oregon may very well be the best team in the country, with the undisputed Heisman trophy winner. The SEC is better and it's not close. How's that for a double down?"Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

Can we give Allie Laforce an emmy already? What else does she have to do?Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Guess I'm not the only one that thought Oregon was playing lights out last night.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostBeen waiting for the D to have a game like this. I hope they can keep it going for another half. Marcus playing his worst game as a Duck, needs a good 2nd half."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. I saw that they stalled on that late 4th quarter drive.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostGuys, Moliere wanted me to post that TCU didn't really do much against Iowa St. State had a few passes that could've been picked off, in fact did intercept one, and while the TCU D played well the Iowa St. reallh didn't play well on either side of the ball. TCU also had some issues.τὸν ἥλιον ἀνατέλλοντα πλείονες ἢ δυόμενον προσκυνοῦσιν
