I could be wrong, but I believe this thread is dedicated to football.

The problem with you old folks is you drift off subject so easily and start rambling on about crazy old Aunt Sally so and so and the time she wore a milk bucket for a hat to church and how that damn Rooo-svelt was a commie and such.

Let's see, I think the heading said something like how much money and "BYU athletics". Athletics would include BB, I think.

However, like the others who put no effort into their attacks on me, you go the easy route and pull out the "old" card. You all are going to crap your pants when you find out I am only 33.

A loss to byu doesn't concern me much. I do enjoy the idea that our presence in the conference is somehow holding you and your sister school to the north back from bigger and better things. And I really enjoy the gnashing of teeth and renting of garments that occurs every six years when we pull out a victory.

Notre Dame

I don't see why ND to the Big Ten doesn't happen. They are a natural fit.

The Big Ten should let them keep their own TV contract. It would be similar to the arrangement that the Rose Bowl has with the BCS as far as TV contracts go.

The Big Ten would still come out ahead getting a great team and a championship game, and rights to ND's

ND would have better geographical ties for non-football sports (reducing travel and expenses).

It might be a step back for ND in Basketball... but not much, if any.

Actually the "senile" card does still have great merit when thrown out properly. I didn't miss the intent due to old age, senility, perhaps.

i'm biased having attended syracuse, so keep that in mind.

the orange have struggled as of late, but their football history is a good one. a national title, big names from the 50's and 60's, and generally winning record every year for decades until the last 5ish years...

it is a program that is blue collar and tough, and has played gritty run-oriented football for decades. they would be a great addition to the big 10, and are a very popular team in NYC, with a very large alumni base there. if the 'cuse can get its recruiting dominance once again asserted in the NYC area (i think the new coach, marrone will do just this), the 'cuse will be back as a regular fixture in the top 25.

as for byu, i don't think they bring much to any conference without the utes and vice versa.
