The DeSoto-Allen game in AT&T (Cowboy) Stadium was a good one. Allen won 25-22 by completing a long pass on a deflection (great catch by the WR who is headed to Notre Dame) and kicking a FG as time expired.

That was a great game and most likely the championship.

Well how does it feel knowing Texas wouldnt defwat the California Nevada or Utah teams? There were days when that wasnt true.

Allen won the Class 6A Division I (highest class/division in Texas) state championship by defeating Cyprus Ranch (Houston area) 47-16 at AT&T Cowboy Stadium before a crowd of 52K+. It is Allen's 3rd consecutive state title and during that time Allen has a 43 game unbeaten streak. All of those games were with QB Kyler Murray who has never lost a game (43-0) he started in HS. Murray was named Gatorade Player of the year and has been referred to as the best HS QB in the country with about 10K yards passing and 4K+ yards rushing over three years. Murray has verbaled to Texas A&M. Allen HS is also where Tjean Korama, who started at Center for BYU this season as a true Freshman, played HS ball. There are several LDS kids who play defense on this team.

If Bingham wins they are slated to play in a tournament put on by espn of some of the best HS teams from across the country. Rumors are they could go up against Bishop Gorman again and try and avenge their OT (and only) loss from earlier this year.

Very cool that they are putting that on and these teams are willing to get back together several weeks after the season ended to compete at the highest level. I noticed Kyle Gearig of Bingham has been playing basketball, so he must be healthy and ready to pay.

Yes, he is better. Bingham should be 100% healthy. My super-agent spies at the school (my own kids and the kids in my ward) tell me that nobody is injured that they know of.

I'm at Copper Hills/Granger tonight. My neighbor's kid made it to BYU's linemen camp this summer and showed well. Starting his junior season.

Their line is awesome. Up just 13-7 but CH has only run 3 plays in the entire first half.

The OC lives across the street from me, he took a horrible hillcrest team to the playoffs last year. His offense is awesome and he is the best O-line coach in the state. Now that he has some big polys if they buy in they will run wild on people.

very efficient running game. They just wore CH out. 3 of those lineme look D1 ready to me.
