Why would the Pac12 be against a Utah-BYU matchup?

Probably because Utah would be against it.

They are scared off by those indecipherable signs our offensive coordinators hold up during the games.
          Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Man, I wish somebody would tell me what those signs are for.

Hey, you'll recall I ended up buying my tickets from you, although regretting it somewhat as I'm certain the GA would not have complained about being downwind from me.

That is the year you and FM, Cowboy and I can't remember who else all sat together? It is sad having ones memory fade. I do remember though you denied being the culprit in the infamous "who let it" incident.

Yup, and nikuman (whatever happened to that guy?) was also part of the crowd. A great game; I'm not sure BYU would fare as well this year against the Ducks.

And why would BYU be against it? Makes no sense. I can see why Utah wouldn't want a re-match, nothing to gain because they already beat us this year. But you'd think the P12 and the Bowl people would want it.

You know it might have been Nikuman and not FM. The way Hill is improving, I think we would have a shot. Now let someone call me negative.

Because outside a 60-mile radius of Salt Lake City, a win over a 6-6 Utah team does NOTHING for BYU. In contrast, even with USC down, a game against USC would generate more interest, more television viewers, probably better attendance, and more talk/respect for BYU.

It would be nice to play and beat Utah in a bowl game, but I'm much more interested in playing Washington, USC, or ASU instead; should they drop to that spot.

I agree. In the re-match scenario, how many Utah fans would travel? Let them go to the New Mexico Bowl.

The PAC-12 is murky in the middle right now. It could be Wazzu, OSU, Arizona, USC, Washington, etc. Hell it could even be UCLA.
