Terrible thread title.
Chuckie in two games against byu.
162 passing yards per game, 52% completion, 2 tds 0ints. 16 carries for 45 yards.
Against USC chuckie was 21/39 for 179 yards. He also had 12 carries for -15 yards and they scored 14 total points. That is against a team that gave up 62 points the following week.
I think Bronco will have a good game plan and contain him.
Taysom last year threw for 235 yards and completed 67% of his passes and also had 18 carries for 80 yards against the Aggies.
On paper I like BYUs chances.

With the game being in Logan, BYU is going to have their hands full. For as much as Hill threw the ball last year, we really had no success scoring points. I do think that BYU is better offensively this year than last. They're better at running the ball, substantially better. If Jamal is healthy, BYUs offense should be alright.
Defensively, I expect BYU to do a pretty good job containing Chuckie. I expect a lot of two man fronts, with somebody spying Chuckie, but pressure still coming either from an outside backer on a blitz or a corner. It's going to be a lot to put on Eathyn Manumaleuna and either Bronson Kafusi, Remmington Peck or Marques Johnson.
I believe that BYU wins in a tight game. I don't know that either team scores above 25 points.

Stat being thrown around on CB: Chuckie Keeton has not won a game when the Aggies run for less than 150 yards. BYU has not given up 150 yards rushing to any team."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV

You need to set your sights higher, DDD.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostNo way Im mailing it in. This is an incredibly clever thread title because it makes fun of Harry Tic in the process.

I like our defensive matchups against Utah State. If we can protect our corners, I don't think they'll have an answer. Manumaleuna has been playing out of his mind lately and I don't think our front seven gives up anything to the Aggies. With Jamaal and Cody back, I think that if Taysom can find a decent groove we win this one. Let's not forget that the Aggies are notorious for blowing it in big games. If we get them on the ropes I think they will fold like, well, like BYU is in the habit of folding to Utah.Nothing lasts, but nothing is lost.

And if you want to become a True Blue Aggie you have to get to know him pretty well.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI know Lebowski is going to want to dive straight into mascot talk, so let's get that ball rolling now. The Utah State mascot is the Aggie. his name is Big Blue.

The following day USU police responded to a similar incident involving five nude male individuals.
The officer reported seeing the men holding on to each other in a "choo choo train fashion," on top of the artwork, the report reads."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV

Taysom will only find his groove if the offensive line can protect him. Gunther was saying that there is a fair amount of connections between the defensive coaching staff at USU and Utah and that Utah is sharing their secrets. He very well may be full of shit but I get the impression Wells is more willing to take chances than Anderson. Should be a fun game.Originally posted by Harry Tic View PostYou kind of get the feeling that BYU is supposed to be hoping to catch a break here and that the Aggies could roll. No reason to share secrets. Taysom better be prepared for 8 man fronts and man to man coverage for the rest of the year. He will need to prove he can beat a team with his arm.Originally posted by USUC View PostTaysom will only find his groove if the offensive line can protect him. There are ways we can cope with an underperforming OL. Have we thrown a screen pass yet this year? A shovel pass? Any misdirection at all? Anae has to adapt if he doesn't have confidence in the guys up front.Originally posted by USUC View PostTaysom will only find his groove if the offensive line can protect him.
