    The official "B" team thread........

    It is hard for me to keep all of these "B" teams straight that some of you cheer for. I don't understand why or how you can cheer for two teams as no man can serve two masters. A few exceptions that I can mabye justify:

    1. childhood favorite
    2. Alma mater


    That is about it, if you started cheering for a new team in your 20s or later you are a bandwagon fan.

    It seems everyone on this board cheers for BYU/Utah and then someone that is actually good on a national level. We can use this thread to keep track.

    1. DDD- BYU/USC (exception granted)
    2. Lebowski- BYU/Texas (exception granted)
    3. HFN- Oregon/BYU (need more information)
    3. MPFunk- Utah/ORegon (fail, they are even in the same conference which is embarrassing)
    4. Nikuman- BYU/LSU (fail)
    5. DaBrockster-tOSU/BYU (I believe he lives in C-bus and attended OSU, exception granted)
    6. Archaea- UNLV/BYU (fail)
    7. SeattleUte- Utah/Washington (Epic Fail)
    8. BoylenOver- Utah/Alabama (Fail)
    9. FNPhat- Syracuse/Boise St. (can't decide, need more information)
    10. Babs- Oklahoma/Texas (Fail even if you meet the exception they are still rivals.)
    11. Hot lunch- Utah/BYU/Utah/Georgia (family trumps everything, however I was told he would never like Utah again, now that they are in the PAC he is back. I will give him a pass)
    12. IPU- Utah/Marist (exception granted)
    13. RC Vikings- BYU/Boise St. (exception granted)
    14. BITF- BYU/Texas (Fail)
    15. Paperbackwrite- Nebraska/BYU
    16. Uncle Ted- BYU/Texas

    Any others that I am missing?

    il Pad loves Marist. University of Dayton used to be my B-team but now they can go [sexual intercourse] themselves for all I care. BYU is my one and only.

        Texas is my 2nd and started around age 16. You may or may not accept this but I really don't give a shit.

            BYU is it for me, bitches. They qualify under scenario 1 (childhood favorite).

            I have switched some allegiances outside college football, though. I grew up a Cubs fan, but am much more of a Mariners fan at this point. Didn't really have an NFL team growing up, but obviously a fan of the Hawks these days.
            So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

              I'm glad that my B-team is only a fail and not an epic fail, that would sure be embarrassing to be an epic fail. As for being in the same conference, they are in different divisions so that removes all embarrassment. Plus, it isn't like the Utes are ever going to be competing with Oregon.

              I think you need to flip DDD's loyalties to USC/BYU.

                I grew up a fan of BSU (my dad graduated when I was 7...I still have a piece of the original Smurf Turf somewhere in all of my shit) and then we moved to Syracuse. I remained an SU fan even through my years living in CT before we moved back to Syracuse by the time I was 12. I played Pop Warner football in the Carrier Dome (have a home video to prove it) and I have been a fan every since. I am an uneducated redneck so I can't pull the alma mater card.

                    DDD is much more BYU than USC. I have witnessed it first hand, yes he follows USC and is a fan. However he had a decision to make between BYU vs Utah and USC vs Utah state (with sideline passes) and he chose BYU.

                    You liking Oregon is just plain dumb. Sorry but picking a team 3 years ago because they are good that competes in the same conference as your "A" team is ridiculous. You remind me of all these so-called Redsox fans.

                              There are some serious holes in your rules. According to your rules, I can have Utah as an A-team (childhood favorite) and BYU as a B-team (alma mater). Certainly, no such exception could ever be granted.

                              I also am free to adopt Lewis and Clark as a B-team. Kick ass you 0-3 Pioneers. I guess 0-3 is better than my last year in school when they suspended football 2 weeks before the season started for lack of players.
