I'm not sure why Brett Thompson plays. I've defended Apo for three years and I am done now. He runs lazyroutes and that is when he knows which route to run. He shouldn't ever have to run a route that requires him to read the defense.

Completely agree. Outside of Hoffman, I don't see anyone in this receiver corps who I would like to see in a rotation at all. I know bagging on Hill's arm is in vogue right now, but I really think with a good group of receivers Hill's passing ability would improve from "Execrable" to "Very Poor".

EDIT: Edited to add that I forgot about JD. I like JD, acknowledging that he has some very real limits.

Yes, but when you look at what is really important, he has done what is given to recruits as their highest priorities. He is getting a good education and he got married.

Thornton. Wow. I realize we haven't seen him much, but goodness gracious he looks awful.

              Thornton was hyped?

Duh. He was hyped as the greatest non-scholarship WR in BYU history.

Can we give a nod to a perennial contender for this award: Jay Omer and his "new insane/rigorous/torturous/etc" regimen that will produce stronger and faster offensive linemen?

When he leaves, this award automatically gets named after him.

This may not be the thread to discuss this, but what does BYU do next year after Hoffman graduates? They've had good success going after CB's for JC schools. Can they do the same with WR's? Are there any incoming freshman? Even if Taysom improves his accuracy, will have anybody that can create enough space to get open? If they somehow get open, can they catch the ball?

Well, you have Kurtz coming in, but I'd be having second thoughts if I was him.

Collie should be off his mission. So should Weeks.

Anyone else we're missing? What about Mike Davis? Or is he a permanent switch to CB?
