Perhaps "feeble" is too strong, how about mediocre? We'll see on their next game when they visit Lincoln in a couple of weeks. Not that Nebraska is any great measuring stick but I'm familar with them. Sparty did have a good win against Michigan last week. I'll know better how good that win was when Nebraska visits the Big House this Saturday.Originally posted by USUC View PostAlthough they might not have a greatest offense, Sparty is anything but feeble.“Not the victory but the action. FSU is easily the second best team in the country right now. They looked incredible vs Clemson and really good against Miami. I would be shocked if anyone on their regular season schedule can beat them.
If Bama loses a game and assuming it's close, I think Bama should still go even over an undefeated Baylor team and especially over an undefeated Ohio State team. Before last night, I didn't know who was better between FSU and Oregon, but now I'm pretty sure it's FSU.
If people are being honest, they know the national championship game needs to include some combination of FSU, Alabama, Stanford and/or Oregon -- and at this point it's most definitely FSU and Alabama in the two top spots, and that's the game I really want to see. Even if Baylor and Ohio State are undefeated and either Alabama or FSU loses, I still don't want to see either Baylor of Ohio State in the national title game. In fact, I still put Stanford and Oregon ahead of them.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

What if Bama loses in the SEC championship game? Baylor won't get shut out because the B12 doesn't have a title game ... they will get shut out because they are Baylor. The pollsters wouldn't put them above FSU and OSU at the end of the season.Originally posted by YOhio View PostI'll be cheering for the Bears. I want Baylor to go undefeated and then get shut out of the title bowl because the B12 doesn't have a championship game.

I know. Alabama didn't deserve to be in that BCS championship game. Not only did they not win the conference championship, they didn't even win their division.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostAlabama didn't win its conference in 2011 and they still played in and won the title game.
I was just trying to point out what a farce the BCS title game is. It has nothing to do with which teams deserve to be there, but which teams will generate the most revenue. Alabama will be in the fake championship game this year because it makes a ton of money for the BCS and for the networks. I hope LSU wins tonight so the BCS can once again invite an undeserving Alabama team to play in its little faux title game."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

I don't necessarily disagree with you in principle, but it could be argued Alabama was the best team in the country that season. Hard to say a team doesn't deserve to be there when they dominated the team they played - a team that did deserve to be there. Also, Alabama that season led the nation in rushing, total defense, scoring defense, rushing defense and passing defense. The best teams should play in the national championship game, and I would be hard-pressed to argue they weren't one of the best two teams in the country with that pedigree.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostI know.
