      Michigan -48 rushing yards today, good thing they think this "speed" thing is a fad that will go away.

        Nebraska defeats Northwestern on a hail Mary from midfield as time expires. Pass was thrown by the Huskers 3rd string QB and caught by a RFr back-up WR for his first TD catch.

          Great pregame for FSU-UM:
          * Detmer getting airtime in both Heisman House commercials
          * Eminem going Beserk
          * Sebastian showing who invented, and rightfully owns, the U hand signal
          * Chief Osecola planting the lighted spear is one of the great pregame routines.

            That was unbelievable. Fun to watch.

              All tOSU has to do is kick back and sleepwalk through their schedule and watch 2 undefeated teams in front of them lose. Oregon has a big game on Thursday. FSU in a dog fight now. Anything could happen.

                This FSU - Miami game is entertaining. Close to getting out of hand with chippiness.

                    FSU predicted to jump idle Oregon to get to the 2 spot. After FSU destroyed an undefeated #7 team, Oregon has to similarly dominate Stanford to return serve and get back to #2. I'm not convinced that simply beating Stanford is enough. FSU doesn't really have an impressive remaining schedule, despite a game against Florida, so Oregon has time to get back in the second slot.

                    On a related note, urban should have stayed at Florida. He goes to Ohio but the conference sucks so he can't play for titles even while undefeated.

                    Hopefully Baylor wins out and is left out of the title discussion due to lack of conference championship game.

                      All good points but there is still about a month of football left plus CCGs. Usually, these things work themselves out on the field and it's more common to have debates about which one-loss team deserves to play an undefeated team in the BCS CG. Bama still has LSU and Auburn to play. It would help the Buckeye's cause if they faced a one-loss Michigan St. team in the Big Ten CCG. Nevertheless, Ohio St. should be criticized not for playing in a conference that is having a down year, which they cannot control, but for playing a weak OOC schedule which Ohio St. can control. Totally agree about Baylor and the Big 12; however, I have some empathy toward Baylor as they don't have much of a voice in the conference. Would have been much better if this were happening to Texas.

                        I selfishly hope this becomes a theme this year and for years to come for the 5th and 6th team outside of the playoff. BYU needs more than ESPN as an incentive to get good games on the schedule.

                          Thursday night. Holy shit.

                          I'm usually expecting Thurs games with (a) Akron vs Western Michigan or at best (b) South Florida vs U Conn. Two all top ten matchups is like Christmas.

                            Two top-ten matchups is definitely unprecedented, but ranked teams regularly play on Thursday nights.
