It's every bit as much of a crap shoot which, if any, teams in the PAC 12 are ranked, correct? Stanford and Oregon could have stumbled early and suddenly Utah has a lukewarm schedule. Texas and Notre Dame and Wisconsin could just as easily have been world beaters this year and we'd have the opportunity to be king. That's how the entire NCAA field is set up, in fact.Originally posted by USUC View Post
What's so controversial about the statement? BYU does have at least a couple of big names scheduled every year, but its a crap shoot as to how good these big names will be. Utah is in the PAC-12 and will play the good teams in the conference. On average, they will play more ranked teams than BYU. Why wouldn't KWhit use that as a recruiting pitch?
As a matter of fact, I like next year's schedule, too! Texas, Southern Miss, Cal, Virginia, Boise, Nevada, Houston, Connecticut, Central Florida, Utah State and a couple of cupcakes? Nice! I like playing a diverse field of teams every year- it's cool! It's not the same as the MWC/WAC days where you have a history with every school on the schedule, but it's fun and makes for a LOT more incentive to do roadies, too.
The point is: although we are not in the Pac, we have ample opportunity to upset teams like this, contrary to your assertion."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

BYU71 called. He wants his shtick back.Originally posted by USUC View PostAlso, that's a pretty big recruiting pitch for Utah going forward. They are in the PAC and have an opportunity to upset teams like this. BYU doesn't."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Nice to finally get a signature win in the Pac-12. Stanford is a damn good team and it felt great to beat them.
As for the Ducks-Huskies game, SeattleUte is right the tide has turned in the series. I mean the Ducks only won the game by 21 this year and only put 45 points on the board. I'm really worried that next year the Huskies might keep the game within 2 scores. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Snap shot in time my friend. Wait until those recruits hear about Don James and Warren Moon, the fact they were 3-4 years old last time Washington was relevant nationally and 5-6 the last time they beat Oregon will all fade away. Plus, the architecture! Have you seen it around campus? OMG!Originally posted by mpfunk View PostAs for the Ducks-Huskies game, SeattleUte is right the tide has turned in the series. Stupid trees. Five yards away from making it a perfect football day for me.Originally posted by YOhio View PostGood job, Utah. You guys beat a bunch of computer nerds. BFD. Congrats on beating a top 5 team during the regular season.....it only took you guys over 100 years to accomplish it!!Originally posted by mpfunk View PostNice to finally get a signature win in the Pac-12. Stanford is a damn good team and it felt great to beat them.

Just my opinion. Besides, its not like i'm raining on anything BYU. I like independence and I like BYU's schedule. I have no complaints. My only point is that Utah is going to use this as a recruiting pitch (hell they already are milking the PAC-12 for all its worth. Everyone on the team has to talk about "PAC-12 football" or "we see players like this in the PAC-12 every week," etc.).Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostBYU71 called. And it took having home games stacked in their favor. They have played every game in Utah thus far. Only one away game halfway through November? How did they score that sweet deal?Originally posted by Moliere View PostCongrats on beating a top 5 team during the regular season.....it only took you guys over 100 years to accomplish it!!
