Yep, they have been really, really bad. Barely squeaked out the win over James Madison last week. Props to Terry Bowden however this one turns out.

The Zips were 38 point dogs. Jason Taylor one od best pass rushers of all time played for Akron.

No big deal for Akron to beat a Big Ten school as they just barely did it in 1894. Akron toys with Big Ten teams.

I can only hope this debacle is the result of looking ahead. And it'd be hard to blame the coaches -- Akron came in looking like one of the worst teams in the nation. Problem is that these coaches don't do stuff like that so I really doubt that's what happened. Obviously a huge emotional letdown after last week. This game would have been considered a trap game if Akron didn't completely suck. Yikes.

I hope they all learn something from this, as M has to travel to mighty UCONN next week. That could be a doozy.

The clock also stopped when they were given a first down that wasn't though too. I'm sure that's why they didn't reset the clock.
