Seriously some of the best play by a QB I can remember. Unfortunately the voters won't look past that Stanford loss.

That is who I think deserves it, but I do think Johnny DB is the frontrunner. My guess is Manziel either wraps it up or loses it at Death Valley, on Saturday.

I would also ask where the love is for Derek Carr from Fresno St.

His opponents aren't of the caliber of the other folks mentioned...but neither is the supporting cast.

If we are talking QBs, I would wonder more where is the love for Bryce Petty than Derek Carr. I think Petty is more deserving than Manziel.

In fact, Petty has the highest PER in the country, is undefeated and has thrown for more yards and TDs than Mariota, Winston and McCarron. IMO, of all the guys who are being underrated in this discussion, it's Petty.

that is a great, though slightly disturbing read. Basically, it sounds like much of what Benedict and Keteyian wrote about in The System.

Maybe the craziest stat I have heard. Wisconsin is averaging 4.3 yards per carry before contact. That is unreal. 4 yards before you even get touched.

They can't award the heisman to someone that is currently being investigated for sexual assault. The PR would be a nightmare, especially if he is eventually found guilty.

Manziel must be the new front runner and I believe that this may benefit AJ as well if heisman voters are put off at all by manziels antics.

PAC12 Network just showed a Heisman watch graphic on how they're all doing today, and Winston wasn't even listed; it was McCarron, Manziel, and Mariota.
