Poll: What has supplied the highest degree of Schadenfreude
Poll: What has supplied the highest degree of Schadenfreude
I voted Riley Nelson. Watching the meltdown of the last three years has been epic. Throw in the advent of "The Riley Rule" which keeps well intentioned Mission President's at bay.
"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."
"They talk about the economy this year. Hey, my hairline is in recession, my waistline is in inflation. Altogether, I'm in a depression."
"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."
"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
"It's no secret that the great American pastime is no longer baseball. Now it's sanctimony." -- Guy Periwinkle, The Nix.
"Juilliardk N I ibuprofen Hyu I U unhurt u" - creekster
Where is the option for the Runnin' Utes 5 year debacle?
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
Dig your own grave, and save!
"The only one of us who is so significant that Jeff owes us something simply because he decided to grace us with his presence is falafel." -- All-American
"I know that you are one of the cool and 'edgy' BYU fans" -- Wally
On the BYU side, gotta say watching Utah football fall on its face in the P12 or Utah basketball fall on its face against any conference. I decided we'll know when Utah football is up on its feet in its new conference -- when the school becomes its identity again instead of the conference. I was in the UW bookstore the other day and you know how many pieces of UW gear I saw with a P12 logo sprayed all over it? Not a single one. Utes will start acting like they belong when they actually belong, and this will be the sign, you watch.
On the Utah side, yeah, quite a few to choose from. Riley Nelson is a good option. What a disaster that whole thing has been.
I voted for the Riley Nelson Saga, mainly becasue the wound is so fresh. But I am literally LOL'ing at how many good options there are (both in the poll and left out). Maybe we should name this board fansofmisfitsforum.com
"It's true that everything happens for a reason. Just remember that sometimes that reason is that you did something really, really, stupid."
The 2008-2009 BCS National Championship Selection.
"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

You nailed the identity thing cold. We had the PAC 12 logo on the front doors of Olpin in a faux frosted glass look ... this summer, or 24 months after the initial announcement.

Pure gold.
I voted for Heaps, but only because November Scheduling wasn't an option, although I suppose that could fall under Independence. Anyway, it appears that will be less of a schadenfreude giving thing in the years to come anyway

Playing Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Boise State in November will provide you plenty of Shadenfreude opportunities, I assure you.
This thread sucks. The poll sucks. Everything about it sucks. Ute fans can gloat all they want. The truth is they can throw darts blindfolded and find something to laugh about. Even after Jaime Hill, Robert Anae, and Patrick Higgins our coaching staff is still having problems. Independence has turned out to be a mess, largely due to our inability to win any game of consequence. The rivalry is dead and BYU is the one who has to beg to keep it alive. Our QB situation has been a mess since Max Hall made his famous declaration. BYU isn't a natural fit for any conference of consequence that would have them. The world has turned and left us here.

agreed, there just aren't really many options for BYU fans there. The only one that could be pro-BYU is the PAC-12 option, but even that falls short because any BYU fan would trade places with them in a heartbeat.
Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I am happy they have a terrible bball team. I hope they do forever.
