    Touching Story

I didn't know where to put this, I considered the foyer. Stories like this are a reminder that these players are still kids who are trying to figure out how to be adults, and the mistakes that they make on and off the field are part off that process. Three of Utah fans favorite whipping boys are featured in this story.

"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

"They talk about the economy this year. Hey, my hairline is in recession, my waistline is in inflation. Altogether, I'm in a depression."

"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."

Maybe not touching, but a cool story from UMass football.

I'm glad this story isn't about touching. that would be weird.

This story belongs in the Good Deeds thread, which reminds me I have a post for it.

I love the stories of athletes who get it. The ones who understand the impact they can have on the lives of others.

I'm not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but a great story nonetheless.

Perhaps this has already been shared elsewhere. Manti Te'o writes a letter to a dying 12 year old girl and her family to comfort them in their grief.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
