It is a mistake to give an injured QB the majority of reps during any practice especially if it is highly questionable that he will start. There is a difference between a few reps and talking more than half the reps which is what Nelson did this week. Hill needs every rep can get at this point because even if Riles comes back he won't last. He never has.

I don't get why it's weird. Hill has either outplayed him or played him even. He's younger, so you go to him either way. Common sense, imo.

Granted common sense has been inconsistent with byu's coaches, but when it seems they got it right, I'm not complaining.

Lark is not a mobile QB and the coaches are now in love with the idea of a QB that runs. It sucks, but Lark does not fit our system anymore.

One more time - Nelson did not get more than half the reps this week.

              This is speculation.

Speculation that he is injured or speculation that he took more than half the reps?

Neither seem like speculation to me.

Even 1/4 seems like a mistake. Why can't the coaches just admit its over? Why risk his health more when he has broken vertibre?

Healthy Riley is a competitive QB. Since he shouldn't have been playing due to injury vs Utah and BSU I'd say the jury is still out.

Maybe not for the week overall, but he did in at least one practice.

                        Well short week....

                        Riley takes a majority Monday.
                        Half on Tuesday.
Little less than half on Wednesday.
                        Quarter on Thursday.
At the mall today so no snaps.

This. Yeah, give him some reps, see how he is doing. Give him the majority and run him with the ones, that is dumb.

Well I think the mall sells medicinal herbs that heal so maybe it is good he's at the mall.

You may be right, but I don't think we know this from public sources. It was widely reported that Hill got all the reps on Monday (Jay Drew in this case):
Bronco: "Riley is still beat up. Taysom took all the reps today, and it will be similar to last week."
On Tuesday Taysom said reps were split (again widely reported) . I am unaware of any statement that specified what that split looked like: 30/70, 50/50, and 70/30? After that I believe that public sources have been silent. Did I miss something?

Now, I don't doubt there are multiple people here with good inside information, but inside information like that is at best noisy which means there is still a fair amount of uncertainty (outside of Monday) about the split of reps between the two (unless I have missed an important public source about the split of reps).
