Riley is injured. Setting aside that he sucks, he is the starter. The nature of his injury is such that riley will likely be sitting for weeks. Bronco isn't going to say this outright, likely for various reasons. It makes opposing teams prep for 2 QBs. It also allows bronco to make the transition to a new QB without embarrassing Riley publicly. It also allows Bronco to yank Hill and start Riley without losing face, since Hill was never really the starter.
So bronco will continue to insist that Riley is the starter and then subsequently start Hill each week as Riley continues to "heal." if Hill continues to do well, Riley's healing will become more prolonged. In fact, we may have already seen the last Riley Nelson game.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.
