    Holly Holy War! 2012 Avatar Bet Poll! Sing it strong!

    It's back with a special thanks to Don Mac for bringing the hype!

    1- Select one of the two options, Brigham Young University - Provo or University of Utah and then submit your vote using the provided button. The poll is public and will close on Saturday morning at 7:09 a.m. so don't wait until that day to choose!

    2- If the team you choose wins, then you can choose to swap your current avatar to one that is special-made for the victor. You have to do it yourself because it's a total PITA for the mods to do it. You don't have to, but it's your right as victor to do so.

    3- If the team you choose loses, then your avatar will be switched by the mods to one that is special made for this occasion. The mods do this because a lot of posters here won't own up to their choices. It's kind of a sad statement, IMO. Tradition calls for the loser to keep the selected avatar for a week. A couple of years ago DU Ute violated this tradition and nobody wants to be like him. It's also been brought to the attention of the moderators that sendups of UteStar's naked Richard Simmons avatar and SeattleUte's John the Baptist statue were not appreciated by either the winners or the losers, so those have been decommissioned. Speaks volumes that neither Rodin or Simmons are appreciated amongst this supposed 'progressive' community.

            Q: If we lose and the mods change our avatars, is it recommended that we save a backup if we want them back? or will the mods switch them back?

                        Yes, thanks loads for the banner. It's really neat. After the game maybe you can do a banner for the Romney campaign to use. Something like a photo of Obama towering ominously over a tough but puny Romney? I am sure it will be inspiring. And only Romney-heads with some sort of inferiority complex would be bothered.
