Riley is slow. It was nice to see Taysom Hill hit the holes a bit faster.

I get it was a conservative game plan, but I felt like Riley was sub par today. He held on to the ball way too long.

Riley missed some really easy throws today. He is also really lucky he has Hoffman. Not sure who is more blind concerning Riley, you or Hsaru. Did Riley save you from death somehow?

He also connected on some others. Every QB misses on some easy throws. They also throw interceptions sometimes.

Sub par? He went for 244 yards in one half. His yards per rush was higher than Hill. Riley missed some throws but he played fine.

Weber State isn't good, but they came to play and we manhandled them. I'm more worried about the OL than I am Riley.

The offense will have a different look against Utah. Expect to see Riley rolling out more.

The Oline is crappy until proven otherwise. If they can't push WEber around on the inside, we're not going to be able to run inside this year.

I felt like Riley held on to the ball too long and he made some throws that will be picked off against good teams. His INT was horrible. He should throw for 244 against Weber in a half.

Because most of us want to beat Utah more than anything after last year, and we're tired of him showing things in the games that make us think he can't. Or at least that's how I feel. I don't like the play where he barrels in to the DLine for 3 yards and he ran it a lot in the first week.

I like him alright. I just think his tangibles outweigh his actual skillset. He'll probably never be appreciated as much as some of the other guys that have come through.

I can't say whether or not he held onto the ball too long because I watched the game on tv. Unless you were at the game and saw the coverage I don't think you can make that assessment either. Riley has definitely reached his potential, which admittedly isn't as high as most BYU starting QBs, but I'll take him over probably 75% of other QBs I've seen on tv during the first two weeks.

And I sti think the 500 balls are not bad passes. When you have two tall and athletic receivers you give them a chance to get the ball. It worked fine on the Hoffman td today. I just hate when he throws across his body as he doesn't have the arm to make those throws.

Why exactly are you worried about Utah?

You could beat Utah using your QBs from the end of the 2003 season.

Utah will make a boneheaded special teams play or two. The offense will actually look like your 2003 offense when Utah and BYU played.

Riley could suck and BYU would still win this 6 or 9 to 0.

                        Utah's offense is awful.

It was bad last year, but that was with a much better O-line and a really good blocking and pass-catching fullback.

Because he's not Detmer or Bosco or McMahon or some other QB that played two decades ago and we've forgotten how many stupid mistakes they all made. Detmer was an interception machine compared to Riley.

I don't think PU or funk should be allowed to publicly enjoy Utah's win next Saturday.

It's not that he's not Detmer/Bosco/McMahon, it's that he not even the last two senior QB's we've put out there. He's below the standard for a BYU QB, and people want more out of a BYU QB.
