I read the whole thing and still have no idea why he's transferring. My initial assumption was that with the whole family stuff he wanted to be in CA, but from this article that doesn't seem like his intention at all.
Playing time? His odds were as good here as anywhere else, especially since the coaches seemed pretty positive about him after spring camp.
Did he just not get along with somebody? I'd say Bronco's out of consideration because he still speaks very highly of him.
My guess (and that's all it is) is that he had beef with DuPaix or Doman. I'll give him props for showing a lot of maturity and retracting whatever negative stuff he said in the initial phone call.

That's the only thing I could really think of as well. Or he just didn't care for the general direction of the offense.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.
I think it boils down to playing time mixed with his personal stuff. Seeing your production shrink while your family goes through hell would probably do a number on anyone.

Isn't it obvious? Players of color don't find BYU too hospitable.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.
Holmoe said "Juice" Quezada was baptized in Los Angeles last weekend. Said he transferred from BYU because "he wanted to play more."
This takes the sting off the transfer. Not the B-tism, but the fact that he just wasn't good enough. But how odd that juice transfers, then gets dunked the next day, while Harrison transfers but really wanted to stay. Oh well.
