Despite your name calling I'm going to go easy on you here and just point out that your post is at war with itself and just elucidates who are the real dipshits--Bronco, who turned himself from Messiah into buffoon overnight to a large extent through that single phrase, and erstwhile Bronco worshippers such as yourself (yes, you are on record as such pre-2008-09).

I may or may not be a dip shit, I am not an apostate, BYU reject. However, to try and claim that "Quest for perfection" meant anything other than going 12-0 is silly. It didn't mean that the young men are going to the Celestial Kingdom. Or if it did and they aren't returning that same theme then what? Bronco doesn't think this group of guys can gain eternal life?

Perhaps Bronco made a mistake, and is maybe not really the kind of guy to back peddle and admit it (see punting against BC in 2005, and still bringing up the booing). How come Bronco stopped bringing up the "Quest" in media after the TCU game if it was about eternal life?

He has explained this alot of times. Band of Brothers, Raising the Bar, etc. Quest for Perfection this year. They are corny themes meant to motivate the team and inspire unity, blah blah blah.

I think winning every game was part of it, they said that at the beginning of the season as well. They thought they could win every game. I certainly hope they feel that way at the beginning of this coming season. But can you really ignore the fact that those three words are in the first sentence of BYU's mission statement? You can't see how there would be a connection in that regard?
