You don't have to say "no offense" just because you don't cheer for the same team. Say "no offense, but you are an idiot with a giant gut" that's a better use of the phrase.

Oregon should be No. 2, right behind LSU. Not even close between Ducks and Tide, IMO, even though everyone will point to FC Birmingham vs. Real Baton Rouge as evidence that Alabama is better than Oregon.

I think Bama is better than Oregon. But I seriously don't like the idea of a rematch. Why should LSU have to worry about beating a team they already beat? College football is all about "every week is a playoff." Well thats not the case if a rematch is allowed. Stupid Ok St.

Absent a playoff, subjectivity has no place in this argument. It should be about what teams have done, not what you think teams could do in the future.

We don't even know if Alabama is the best team in the SEC East, since Bama misses both South Carolina and Georgia. They lost to SEC West No. 1 at home and have two wins of note -- Penn State and Arkansas. The non-conference schedule was a joke. What exactly have we seen to believe that Alabama is better than Oregon?

We've seen "rematches" before in bowls where No. 1 was on the line. The sport survived. I have no problem with LSU-Oregon again. And I'd have no problem with LSU-Alabama -- provided Alabama had the best argument that it belonged in the game.

In college, the rule book says that the entire ball has to be inside the post in order for the FG to be good.

Why? Happens all the time in every other sport including the NFL. The two best teams should play for the MNC. If they played earlier big deal. Lame bowls, well, that's a different story. But either rematch would be a great game.

I woke up with an odd feeling, today could be a crazy day in Eugene. I'm officially worried.

Way to show up, Houston. Nice game day. Should be great to be in a conference with them and all that support.

For me, a rematch with Oregon would be fine, since they played a long time ago and college football teams change a lot over the course of the season. Plus, then I'd have someone to root for against LSU.

In the case of LSU-Bama, they just barely played each other, the game will be boring, and it'll be between two cheating programs from the same cheating conference, neither of whom I want to win.

It does happen in other sports but college football is supposed to be different. I just think its a little unfair to LSU. But what can you do? It'll be interesting how everything shakes out. Oregon has the advantage over Bama (not going to be a conference champion) and Oklahoma (Ok St loss hurts their computer rankings) but it will probably come down to who the voters want to play in the game.

It seems to me that if the regular season is supposed to act like the playoffs, then both Bama and Oregon have had their chance. Of course by that logic Houston should be in the MNC game, which would be a travesty. There's really no good answer now that Ok St blew it. I hate the BCS.
