Everytime I start to get excited about Jake, I have to remind myself how much worse he was than Max Hall at this point in their college careers. That may be unfair, but it seems that Hall had an X factor that Jake lacks.
I agree. I enjoyed watching the game last night, and I'm glad to see improvement, but I can't help thinking about UTEP or CSU or UNLV or whoever else he looked awesome against at the end of last year. I don't see much indication that he or the offense is any further along this go around. Combine that with the fact that the speculation about who should start will dwarf anything going into the '10 season. It's just not a good recipe for someone who appears to be mentally fragile.

I recognized his strengths when I officiated his games in high school and knew he could be a college QB. Riley will never be Elway but he has surprised a lot of people.

It was nice to see Jake make that throw to Falslev but lets not go overboard. Stepping up in the pocket is a move every QB, including the eighth graders I coach, needs to be able to make. My favorite part of the TD was after he avoided the pressure. Jake's eyes came up and he immediately recognized the opportunity and made the throw.

He was saying that Heaps turned a corner. He was also saying that you'd just discussed Heaps' improved mobility, which he emphasized in his post.

So I went and set my BYUtv as it showed in my guide. All is set and ready. So I go to watch the game on Sunday after church and I am beyond pissed to see that the game was not on but some other sports thing. I fast forward through 2.5 hours of this stuff to see that postgame show.. AND score..

        Thanks BYUtv

BYUtv's schedule is totally off. Numerous times I've tried to record the post game show only to find that its not on the schedule at all. Other times, I've recorded it but it turns out BYUtv was showing some other non-sports program at that time, despite listing the post-game show on the schedule.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
