I think it's more that he's a freshman that came in to the program feeling entitled. In high school he could rely on his athleticism. Now he's having to learn that he needs to run better routes and play smarter.

That is certainly one possibility. Another could be that he isn't good.

Disagree. There's no way a guy could be anything other than what he is this early in his development.

Speaking of his route running he was really dogging it last night going about 3/4 speed.

I noticed that on that 10-15 yard out that Heaps hit him on. He looked like he was out for a morning jog. He did make a nice play on the ball once he remembered there was a game on, but I'm not impressed with anybody's routes right now.

When do we start wondering about Cahoon? I mean other than from the beginning?

It's simple.

When Riley is playing he throws to Hoffman more.

When Heaps is playing he throws to Apo more.

In the last two games I'm guessing he's had as many completions to Hoff as Ross. And that's with Hoff dropping four balls last night. I think he's done a pretty good job going between the two since he came back.

Then I guess I don't understand your reason for constructing the strawman.

Oh, you know, just having some fun with our crowd that was dismissing the idea that Ross wasn't as good as the hype yet not due to the fact that he needed to improve his route-running skills or effort level or intensity, but rather it was just because of the simple fact that he's not any good.

9 tds now. Freshman record and only two players (harline, collie) in the last 18 years have had more receiving tds in a single season. Maybe he's just not very good.
