Even in a thread like this, you just can't resist taking another dig at BYU.

          • It would take some stones, but the players refusing to take the field would be awesomely righteous. I wonder if anyone on the team is considering that? It would be such a cool statement and would do a lot to redeem Penn State's image. Rise up sons of Penn State!

I was thinking this earlier. That PSU players should boycott the season.

Here's how the players reacted when JoePa told them he was retiring/resigning:

This is not entirely unprecedented, at least the act of commemoration during an actual live game.

Several years ago, Mario Danelo, kicker for SC, died mysteriously near his home in San Pedro. As a tribute in the home opener, SC went into "missing man formation" on the first PAT attempt. It resulted in a penalty, but was an amazing gesture.

Plashcke writes about it here and there is even a YouTube link to the actual game, although the audio is awful. There is a better video of it out there somewhere.

Anyhow, a Missing Man formation for the victims would be an amazing gesture.

You're wrong, of course. We also learned how to end interrogatories with a question mark.

That said, one of my more amusing moments in law school occurred when classmate Paul Toscano, weary near the end of a CivPro lecture and either unwilling or unable to answer the instructor's query, declared, "If this is the Socratic method, then I have nothing but boundless sympathy for the students in ancient Athens."

He should have said:"if this is the Socratic method, should I not have boundless sympathy for the students in ancient Athens?"

                          • The JoePa Expulsion Groundswell

                            http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefoot...diately-110911

I predict he won't make it to the end of the season. PSU faces another PR disaster if we see JoePa trotting out of the tunnel to a hundred thousand cheers on national TV. Even worse will be if homemade signs showing support for JoePa make it onto the TV broadcast. The last thing PSU needs is a nationally televised sympathy card for Joe Paterno. Of course, the reaction could be the opposite....boos rain down on the PSU team and Paterno and the cameraman catches a glimpse of someone in the student section holding up a sign for the victims, bemoaning PSUs institutional inaction.

Either way, a massive Lose/Lose for PSU. But some of that can be mitigated by telling Paterno that he is finished effective immediately.

the clues for who fathered Viking are:

                                1) connections to Utah, but moved to Texas.
                                2) religious man.
                                3) fathered many children

probabilities suggest your father is Warren Jeffs
