Did anyone wind up going to the pep rally last night? How was it? Good attendance?

My wife took the daughters and they had a fun time. She said that there was a pretty good sized crowd there - more than she expected. She mentioned that there were a few of the restaurant crowd that seemed to be bothered that people would be at the Gateway for something like this - she overheard one couple complaining while they were waiting to eat that there were too many people at the Gateway that were only there to socialize, rather than shop or eat, but for the most part, she thought it was well worth the time spent there.

What a perspective-shifting day. Utah really is in the PAC-12. I know they've played SC already, but this feels different to me. I can sit in an old-school PAC-10 city and listen to local sports radio today and hear nothing but Utah vs. UW talk - all day. Matchups, breakdowns, etc. It's great.

One would think the Utes are playing on Sunday afternoon rather than Saturday during GC. The shame! And I don't get the home game during conference weekend comments. It would be just as sinful playing Washington in Husky stadium during GC. On that note, me thinks I remember Brother Vai playing on Sunday a time or two in the NFL.

Also, Brother Vai is under further condemnation for allowing his nephew to play for Washington in that hedonistic conference that is the PAC-12. Should he not be playing for the Lord's university like his uncle before him?
