Here's mine:

All-America Conference (football only)

• BYU
• Notre Dame
• Air Force
• Army
• Navy
• Southern Cal
• Hawaii
• Texas
• Florida State

Rationale: Not too top heavy, but lots of teams with national interest. Football only, so travel costs not too much of an issue. Visits to Hawaii, Southern California, Texas and Florida. Inclusion of Hawaii allows an extra game every other year. (That's still the rule, right?)

I don't understand your logic in including Colorado St., but leaving out Oregon St. or even Washington St.

I would take your league and replace CSU with AFA.
