They are going to try to play the ball control game and keep the ball out of BYU's hands because Hotty Toddy Bim Bam Flim Fam Ohh Miss by dam has a horrific defense. The game is also in the middle of the afternoon in the dirty south and it is going to be hot and humid so they will want to grind it out.
Thankfully Ole Miss doesn't return Jeromiah Criminoli at QB. They've got a JC transfer and I believe a transfer from WV competing for the starting spot.

I still think that this is a game BYU can win, although I hope it isn't a repeat of the FSU game last year. The good news is Ole Miss' D as you mentioned isn't anywhere near FSU's, and Ole Miss won't have a Christian Ponder at QB.

I think Ole Miss' is only returning one DE on defense out of everyone that played in the box. To add some experience on the line Nutt signed a couple of JC transfers at DT. He may be playing a freshman or two in the LB positions. They only have one JC transfer and one returning corner for the DBs. The BYU offense might just want to run the ball and the clock as much as possible, however.

Hopefully the heat will break early this year for BYU's benefit. Players like Ogletree may remember what it is like to play in heat and humidity but even he may not be used to it. The humid heat is one of the reasons I don't plan on making the trip up to Oxford (not to mention my son's game the night before).
Given the type of offense that Doman wants to run, I think the more likely scenario is that we try and jump on them early and force them to play catch-up.
