Helicopters, right? I'm trying to keep up with you here.

Yes, helicopters - the 101st has more helios than any other division on earth - 6 bns of them - at least when I was there, if I ever ride in another one it will be too soon

If God had meant heliocopters to fly he would have put wings on them

Unlike 'Napper I've never jumped out of perfectly good airplanes, but I did repel out of Heliocopters at night.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

Airborne School should be mandatory for every solider, heaven knows it could be done in 5 days if they cut the jumps down to 3 - one day jump with light equipment, one day jump with full equipment and one night jump with full equipment. Air Assault school should only be for those who are in AA units, but it was much, much more difficult than Airborne school. Slingloader ops was relatively difficult to master and the 12 mile force march in 3 hours on the last day is not something the majority of soldiers could do. I am much prouder of my AA badge.

              1. He wins. I can see why BYU fans love him.

              2. He's resilient. I was quite impressed (and said so at the time) at how he weathered adversity last season and turned what looked like a disastrous season into a winning one.

              3. He's sincere. Yes, now and then I chuckle or roll my eyes at his statements, but I think he believes what he says and believes in BYU football. I think he'll be there for the rest of his career (if he keeps winning) and will become a beloved, legendary figure in Cougardom.

              4. If I were not a diehard Ute fan and had a son who was good enough to play D1 football, I'd love for him to play for Bronco. (I'd love for him to play for Kyle W. too, but that's not the point of this post.

Yeah, go ahead, accuse me of kissing up to the BYU fans here (all 80% of you) but that's how I really feel.

I hope SU doesn't become ill reading this.
You forgot one. He emasculates Utenation and is the focal point of many of their waking thoughts, even when the party line is supposed to be complete indifference.

I hate to disappoint you, but the only time he comes to my attention is when he says something, well, memorable. "The dust of Notre Dame" is the latest.

I'm pretty sure that was Tom Holmoe.

Edit: You're right - that was Bronco.

That was brutal - esp for someone who is not a ranger rick.

As a side note AA school is the last time I shaved my mustache off - I did 80 pushups for it the first morning of AA school and at lunch went home and shaved!

When I went to AA school flutter kicks was the exercise du jour. By the end of the two week school you could have used my abs for a washboard!

I see womenfolk in the yoga class doing that whilst I push heavy iron around.

Shut your ass, wally. You just interrupted a conversation between TWO ARMY VETS! They also happen to be BYU fans and indifferent as to the Band of Brothers mentality being promoted by Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall. Have a little respect for those men who have served in uniform.

They were doing 4 count pushups - the stache was slightly out of regs - according to them. Every time a black hat saw me he had me drop and give him "10". At least I had my hair cut correct - tapered not blocked.

My office was across the street from the AA school and I'd see the people come in from forced march just dragging. In some ways I'm surprised they didn't have more heat injuries esp in July and Aug.

I will never shut my ass. As a U.S. American, it is my God-given right to let my ass fly open and be heard.
