Seriously. Heaps looks like a scared little girl. Beck as a sophomore was more poised.
    I'm like LeBron James.

You guys are all a bunch of debbie downers, geez.

Heaps is showing the ability to make the throws he is just a bit off. We don't know how open his receivers really are but if he was scared then he wouldn't be taking the shots that he is.

The offense has killed drives with penalties and stupid mistakes. Kariya has missed two blitz pickups one resulting in a sack and the other a big hit on Heaps.

The defense is playing great right now and doing a nice job against the Ole Miss O-line.

Doman and co. will make adjustments I suspect we see a few more throws to the tight ends and backs to get Jake comfortable maybe some safe shorter routes to the wideouts and then we will take our shots in the 2nd half.

      21-10 BYU wins.

Maybe they are keeping their playbook simple then so as to not reveal anything for their conference season.

I'm hoping it's just jitters. A lot of guys have been open and Heaps has just missed them, even acknowledging that our outside guys aren't getting it done.

I haven't noticed anything in particular that I haven't liked about Doman's calls except for the passing at the end there, but even that I didn't mind; it's clear that Doman is trying to get his guy some easy reps to get his confidence up.

I feel like I'm watching the heaps of the first 6 games last year. Hopefully the heaps of the last 6-7 games from last year will show up after half.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Why is Kariya seeing the field at all? I've seen two drive killing plays because he couldn't lay a hand on a blitzer.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

He did miss Jacobsen on a nice route. Not sure about Apo and Hoffman getting open they have been pretty non-existent. Good news is through the first half of hte first game last year we had about 6 drops from tight ends.

If you tell me before the game that Ole Miss has three points at the end of the first, I am quite pleased.

The mistakes that BYU is making which are keeping them out of the game are fixable. Whether they can fix it at halftime, next week, or later . . . let's hope for a great half-time speech.

I'll say this, though: if Anae were the OC, we win this game. This reminds me a lot of BC 2005. New OC, new offense, and we don't seem to know what to do. It took us half the year to figure out how to gain yards and score points. We need to do it now if we're going to erase that blank.

The pieces are there. Our D is dominating their O. Some mistakes on offense and on special teams are the difference. Clean it up and we win.

Yep if he can't pick up the blitz then he is pretty much useless as he is about 7th on the list of backs I would want carrying the ball.

I also saw Jacobsen short arm a pass that came to him.

Kind of happy I don't post during the action. You would think the Y trails by 3 TDs.
